Rishabh Pant blasts second fastest century in T20 history

The wicketkeeper batsman was at his belligerent best as he tore into the opposition bowling and reached his hundred at a very brisk pace.
Pant’s 32 ball century is now the second fastest in T20 cricket, behind Chris Gayle’s his 30-ball century for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in Indian Premier League in 2013. Pant's achievement means he will now hold the record for scoring the fastest T20 century by an Indian.

Pant’s brilliant innings could not have come at a better time, he scored 116 and remained unbeaten and smashed eight fours along with 12 sixes. Delhi, rode his knock on their way to registering a 10 wicket win in their group stage game.
Delhi were chasing 145 with Pant and Gautam Gambhir opening the batting. The pair made their intentions clear from the very start, with Gambhir holding fort on one end while Pant launched his attack.

3 wins in a row now and this was the best of the 3 as we beat @himachalcricket by 10 wickets because of a sensational batting performance by @RishabPant777 (116*) and @GautamGambhir (30*), Pant also scored the fastest century by an Indian in T20 history - 32 balls #DDCA #ZonalT20

The left hander’s strike-rate was an exception 305.26 during the innings which helped his team complete their chase in less than 12 full overs.
The Himachal Pradesh bowlers clearly did not expect such an attack against them and were left without any ideas. Dheeraj Kumar and Kanwar Abhishek were the most expensive bowlers and conceded 39 and 41 runs respectively from their two overs each.
