GUNGA PEHLWAAN (WRESTLER)

A story of the dumb wrestler who won 5 medals for India.

Virender Singh Yadav, famous as the dumb wrestler, has rid himself of the good wrestlers' sweat from his accomplishments. Despite being silent and deaf, he never allowed this deficiency to come in the flight of his dreams. Rather this weakness has made the power of its wrestling. Thanks to this capability, by wrestling betting and screwing, many big wrestlers have got many medals in the riot by mastering this medal. This dumb wrestler has given this medal to India.
Virander's wrestling in the Chhatrasal(Delhi) Akhara went on increasingly interested in wrestling. And due to the same interest, he jumped into the arena and started wrestling. By the way, he hugged Pahlwani with an orchard near his house where his father Ajit Singh used to wrestle but his hobby was arranged in the Chhatrasal Akhara.

India's first and only Gold Medal in the 2005 Defam Philips in Melbourne

Bronze medal in the 2009 Taipei Deaflympics,
Bronze medal at the 2012 World Def Wrestling championship
In 2013, he won the gold medal in Bulgaria at the Deflex Olympics.
Virender has helped a lot in Olympic medal winner Sushil Kumar's Olympic campaign. Sushil also practices in the Chhatrasal Akhara and here too Virender helped his every possible help.
Famous Wrestler Sushil Kumar had told in an interview that I had fought Virender five times, but did not get beat, all the matches were drawn.
Let us know that due to Virendra, the DefGames opened the doors for India. A small film named "Dung wrestler" has also been made on Virendra.
But, Virander is very sad with one thing. They believe that they did not get much help from governments as much as they should have received. At the national and international level, winning a fort, people are given honour and amount to the general wrestlers and other players, they are not given to the deaf or otherwise disabled players. Veerinder is also struggling to get justice for players like him.

Bhagat Singh is often termed as the 'youth icon' or the 'revolutionary of the youth' but his stature is one that equals some of the prominent names in the Indian freedom struggle. His patriotism was not restricted to the strong violent outburst against the British; he rather had a mind and intellect of a genius who could foresee division of India on communal lines which many of the much-esteemed leaders of the time were unable to see. Keeping the cause of country ahead of the religion was another sign of his mature and rational mind. His educational qualifications establish the fact that his opinions and ideas were well thought and not just a product of hysterical mass movements.

The Serial Killer Jack the ripper

The Serial Killer Jack the ripper

Jack the Ripper is the best-known name given to an unidentified serial killer generally believed to have been active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888.All the women murdered were prostitutes, and all except for one - Elizabeth Stride - were horribly mutilated.

There has been much speculation as to the identity of the killer. It has been suggested that he or she was a doctor or butcher, based on the evidence of weapons and the mutilations that occurred, which showed a knowledge of human anatomy.
Violence against prostitutes was not uncommon and there were many instances of women being brutalised, but the nature of these murders strongly suggests a single perpetrator. The murderer is also sometimes thought to have made contact by letter with several public figures. These letters, like the chalk message, have never been proved to be authentic and may have been hoaxes.Jack the Ripper was never caught and he is not thought to have killed again after November 1888.

The Lion and the Jackal (panchatantra story)

                                               The Lion and the Jackal

There lived a lion called Vajradaunstra in the jungle, who had two attendants, a jackal and a wolf.
One day a caravan was passing by, and one of the camels in the caravan was an expectant female. As she was not able to walk, and was in labour pains, the caravan set her free and left her behind.
Within moments, she fell prey to the lion, and while the three of them were eating. They cut the womb of the camel, from which a baby camel came out.
Since, it was just a baby, and they already had a good meal out of the camel, the lion decided to spare the baby camel's life. He brought the baby camel home.

The lion said to the little camel, "From now onwards you will live with us, and will have nothing to fear from, even me. I will let everybody know that you are under my protection, and you can wander about fearlessly and feed on the green grass of the jungle."
From then onwards, they lived happily. The four of them would tell each other stories, and the camel was always found along with the lion.

One day, the lion returned home badly injured after a fight with a wild elephant. He was unable to even walk, let alone go out and hunt.
Unable to bear the hunger, he asked the camel, jackal and the wolf to go in search of some small animal that he will be able to kill, even in his condition. Thus, the hunger for all three of them would be satisfied. But the three of them returned empty-handed in the evening, even after their efforts to search for an animal.
The jackal began wondering in hunger, "The young camel does not belong amongst us, and he will be able to provide food for many days. But, I have to be cunning to convince the lion to kill him, as he has promised not to harm him."

He said to the camel, "Our master will soon die of hunger, and so will we. I and the wolf will die of starvation, and some other animal will prey on you after they know that there is nobody to protect you anymore. I suggest you must offer yourself to the lion, and save us from dying. For your sacrifice, you will be reborn in a body twice the size of what you have in this life!"
The young camel agreed immediately, "Had it not been for the lion, I would have been dead long ago. I shall be rewarded hundred-times for my sacrifice, and find a place in heaven. I agree to offer my body."

In the evening, the jackal said to the lion, that the camel will be blessed with twice the size of the body in his next birth, if he killed him and worshipped God before eating him. He explained that the camel was willing to offer his body for this sacrifice.
The lion was convinced by the cunning jackal and he agreed. As soon the jackal was able to convince him, he jumped on the young camel and tore him apart. The young camel died instantly.

The lion remembered that he must worship before eating for the young camel's next life and asked the jackal and wolf to guard over the carcass, while he returned. He then went for a bath and worshiped the gods.
When the lion was gone, the jackal thought, "How can I fool the lion and have the entire camel for myself?"

He thought of a plan, and called out to the wolf, "Hey wolf! I know you are unable to tolerate the hunger anymore. Eat a mouthful of the camel's flesh and I will convince the lion by making up a story."
The wolf started eating some, believing the jackal's words. Just then the jackal alerted, "Here comes the lion, stop eating now!"

When the lion returned, the wolf had stopped eating. But the lion noticed that his food had been contaminated. He roared in anger, "How is it that my food is contaminated despite it being guarded by the two of you?"
The jackal smiled at the wolf, "I advised you not to eat, but you would not listen. You could not tolerate your hunger and wait for the king's return! You should be ashamed of yourself!"

The lion noticed the blood on the wolf's paw, and attacked it. The wolf, realizing that he would die if he did not flee, ran for his life to never return again.
At the very moment a very big caravan approached. The camels in the caravan had large bells around their necks, and the jingling sound could be heard from a distance. The lion was surprised by the unusual and terrifying noise and wanted to know what made the noise.

At once, the jackal used it as an opportunity. He said, "O Master, it is the same caravan returning. Only this time, it is led by Yama (God of death). He must be very angry on you for killing the camel before the hour appointed for his death. Look, he even brings the camels forefathers and relatives to avenge his death. I suggest you should run away from here."
The lion believed him and was frightened. When he saw the caravan approaching, with so many camels, he ran for his life.
When the jackal had finally gotten rid of the lion, he ate the camel's flesh all by himself. It lasted many days.

The wise indeed say:
Spurn the company of the wicked; else you will come to grief.

Honesty

                    Honesty is The Best Policy

A milkman became very wealthy through dishonest means. He had to cross a river daily to reach the city where his customers lived. He mixed the water of the river generously with the milk that he sold for a good profit. One day he went around collecting the dues in order to celebrate the wedding of his son. With the large amount thus collected he purchased plenty of rich clothes and glittering gold ornaments. But while crossing the river the boat capsized and all his costly purchases were swallowed by the river. The milk vendor was speechless with grief. At that time he heard a voice that came from the river, “Do not weep. What you have lost is only the illicit gains you earned through cheating your customers.

MORAL:Honest dealing are always supreme. Money earned by wrong methods will never remain for ever.

FOR CHILDRENS

                                                 MONKEYS

It was a cold and silent night. The weather was freezing. A group of monkeys were on a tree. They were clinging to its branches. One of the monkeys said, “I wish we could find some fire. It will help us to keep warm”.
suddenly they noticed a flock of fireflies. One of the young monkeys thought it was fire.

He caught a firefly. He put it under a dry leaf and started blowing at it.
Some other monkeys also joined in his effort.
A sparrow came flying to its nest. The monkeys were sitting on the same tree. She noticed what they were doing. The sparrow laughed. She said, “Hey silly monkeys that is a firefly, not real fire”.
The sparrow continued: “I think all of you should take shelter in a cave”. The monkeys did not listen to the sparrow. They continued to blow at our poor firefly.
After some time the monkeys became very tired. Now they realized what the sparrow had said was correct.
They set free the firefly and moved to a nearby cave.

    Peace

                                       Peace of Mind

    What Is Peace of Mind?
Peace of mind is a state of mental and emotional calmness, with no worries, fears or stress. In this state, the mind is quiet, and you experience a sense of happiness and freedom.
Such peaceful moments are not so rare. You have experienced them in the past, at times when you were engaged in some kind of an absorbing or interesting activity. Here are a few examples:

  • Watching an entertaining movie or TV program.
  • Being in the company of someone you love.
  • Being absorbed in reading a book.
  • Lying on the sand at the beach.
  • On vacation, when you experience some sort of mental numbness, forgetting your work and day-      to-day-life.

  • In deep asleep, when you are not aware of anything.

  • Such activities, and similar ones, take away the mind from its usual thoughts and worries, replacing them with an experience of inner peace.

The question is, how to bring more peace of mind into our life, and more importantly, how to experience it in times of difficulties and ordeals.

You might also ask, whether it is possible to turn it into a habit, and enjoy it always and under all circumstances. Actually, there are a few things you can do to enjoy more peace in your life.

Tips and Advice for Peace of Mind

    1. Minimize the time you spend on reading newspapers or watching the news on TV. Since most of the news are negative news, and you cannot do anything about them, why should you think about them and feel stressed and anxious?
    2. Stay away from negative conversations and from negative people. You don't want their thoughts and words to sink into your subconscious mind and affect your moods and state of mind.
    3. Don't hold grudges. Learn to forget and forgive. Nurturing ill feelings and grievances hurts you and causes lack of sleep.
    4. Don't be jealous of others. Jealousy means that you have low self-esteem, and therefore, consider yourself inferior to others. Jealousy and low self esteem, often, lead to lack of peace of mind.
    5. Accept what cannot be changed. This saves a lot of time, energy and worries. Every day, we face numerous inconveniences, irritations and situations that are beyond our control. If we can change them, that's fine, but this is not always possible. We must learn to put up with such things and accept them cheerfully.
    6. Don't dwell on the past. The past is not here anymore, so why think about it? Let bygones be gone. Forget the past and focus on the present moment. There is no need to evoke unpleasant memories and get immersed in them.
    7. Learn to be more patient and tolerant with family, friends, co-workers, employees, and everyone else.
    8. Don't take everything too personally. A certain degree of emotional and mental detachment is very helpful. On many occasions, it would be useful to inject a certain measure of detachment and non involvement. This would bring into your life more peace, harmony and common sense.
    9. Learn to focus your mind. When you can focus your mind, you can more easily reject worries and anxieties, refuse to think negative thoughts, and reduce the constant chatter of your mind.
    10. Meditation is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you have the time, and are willing to try it, even just a few minutes a day will make a difference in your life. You will become more peaceful, relaxed and happy.
    11. Inner peace eventually, leads to external peace. By creating peace in your inner world, in your mind, you bring it into your external world, and into other people's lives.

    Enjoy life

                            Making A Life

I have had a lot of jobs over the last 30 years. I have bussed tables and washed dishes. I have mopped floors and carried out garbage. I have chopped wood and stacked lumber. I have shoveled sawdust and pushed a broom. I have substitute taught every grade from seniors to kindergarteners and every subject from English literature to Algebra. I have cared for the handicapped in first a group home and then in my own home. I have worked with my brain. I have worked with my back. I have worked with my hands. I have worked with my heart. I have done everything I could to make a living so I could take care of those I love.
During those years of making a living, however, I realized something. I wasn’t making a life. I was earning money to feed my family, but I wasn’t feeding my own soul. I was doing enough to keep a roof over our heads, but I wasn’t doing enough to keep love in our lives. I was working hard to keep clothes on our backs, but I wasn’t working hard to keep God in our hearts.
Image result for enjoy life pic

When I realized this I slowly began to not only make a living but also to make a life worth living. I began to pray more. I thanked God for my life and welcomed Him into my heart. I took more than just a second to glance at a rainbow in the sky or to watch the sun rise in the morning. I hugged my children more. I laughed with them more. I told them I loved them more. I spent more time playing with my dogs and petting my cats. I began to read more and watch television less. I allowed inspiration from above to take my own writing in a new direction and I delighted in writing about how much God loves us. I loved more from the depths of my heart and saw how the more love we share, the more joy we have. I took the time to help others in every way I could and to contribute to my community. I did everything I could to become a better person and along the way I realized that I was helping to build a better world. In making my life here I saw too that I was also making my life for the hereafter.
Don’t be so busy making a living then that you forget to make a life. Bring your love to your days and your joy to your work. Be the Child of God you were meant to be and delight in this life you were given. Give the glorious gift of YOU to this world! If you do then you will have a life worth living. If you do you will have a love worth sharing. If you do you will have a Heavenly happiness in your soul, today, tomorrow, and forever.

    Last words

A story of a girl's last words to her mom
One day a girl, Sara, who was fifteen years old, came home from school in a very bad mood. She'd had a fight with her best friend that day and it hadn't turned out well at all."Sara!" her mom yelled. "What are you doing? You know to do your chores right when you get home! And you're late!""Coming, Mom!" Sara yelled, getting up and stomping towards the kitchen. "What?" she snapped as her mother gave her a stern look, annoyed."You'd better straighten up your attitude, young lady," her mom warned, "or you'll be grounded."
"Whatever." Sara began to throw around the dishes in the sink, trying to make as much noise as she possibly could. A plate cracked and cut her hand. Sara cursed.
"Sara!" her mom exclaimed. "How dare you use that language! Go to your room!"
"No!" Sara yelled, throwing down the towel she was using to wipe the blood off her hand.
"Do you want to say 'no' one more time and see what happens?" her mom asked. She looked furious.
    "Sure," Sara said sarcastically. "No."
"How dare you!" Her mother slapped her.
Sara shrank back, staring incredulously at her mom. She had never hit Sara before.
"I HATE YOU!" Sara screamed before running out of the house.
"Sara, get back here!" her mom yelled, running after her.
"Leave me alone!" Sara screamed, running across the street. "I HATE YOU!" she screamed again.
She continued running until she heard the sound of screeching tires and a scream. She turned around, hoping that it wouldn't be what she thought it would be....
People were crowding around Sara's mother, who was laying in the middle of the street, looking broken, bloody.
"NOOOO!" Sara screamed, running over and pushing through everyone to kneel by her mom. "Oh no, oh no...."
Her mom wasn't moving or breathing. She was gone. Sara tipped back her head and wailed to the sky, sobbing so hard it hurt.
She couldn't believe the last words she had spoken to her mother were "I hate you".To everyone out there who tells your parents or friends you hate them, or any other rude thing, remember it might be the last thing you ever say to them.

    A Dinner

    Dinner with a Father

A son took his old father to a restaurant for an evening dinner.  Father being very old and weak, while eating, dropped food on his shirt and trousers.  Other diners watched him in disgust while his son was calm.
After he finished eating, his son who was not at all embarrassed, quietly took him to the wash room, wiped the food particles, removed the stains, combed his hair and fitted his spectacles firmly.  When they came out, the entire restaurant was watching them in dead silence, not able to grasp how someone could embarrass themselves publicly like that.  The son settled the bill and started walking out with his father.
At that time, an old man amongst the diners called out to the son and asked him, “Don’t you think you have left something behind?”.
The son replied, “No sir, I haven’t”.
The old man retorted, “Yes, you have!  You left a lesson for every son and hope for every father”.
    The restaurant went silent.
Moral: To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors.   We all know, how our parents cared for us for every little things.  Love them, respect them, and care for them.
